Graepel News
Graepel, the internationally renowned manufacturer of sheet metal products, has once again received ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certifications at its headquarters in Löningen. The certificates confirm the long-established company's continuous commitment to the highest quality and safety in all areas of the company and for the benefit of its customers.
The successful audits are the result of comprehensive internal audits and continuous improvement processes. They prove that Graepel meets the strict international standards for quality management systems in its industry. These systems include clearly defined processes, continuous improvement and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
“Achieving the certifications is an important milestone for our company,” says Carlo Graepel, Managing Director of Friedrich Graepel AG with his brother Felix Graepel. “It strengthens our profile with our customers and motivates us to further improve our processes in order to offer first-class products of the highest quality and reliability.”
Graepel can present numerous certifications, which vary depending on the product range in the different production plants. The ISO and IATF certificates play a special role and are among the most important proofs for customers and partners that they can consistently count on Graepel for quality in production and operational processes. The company in Löningen was certified as an automotive supplier for the first time back in 2012. Graepel has had ISO 9001 certification for much longer.
IATF stands for “International Automotive Task Force”, and this certificate for the Löningen site in particular is highly valued by Graepel's OEM partner companies. This proves that Graepel is a reliable supplier to the automotive industry that meets the quality standards of manufacturers and OEMs worldwide. “We are particularly proud of this,” emphasizes Carlo Graepel. “We see ourselves as a system supplier and constantly strive to supply our customers in the best possible way and support them throughout the entire process chain. Customer satisfaction is the ultimate goal of all our quality initiatives.”
The ISO norm defines globally recognized standards for quality management systems. It specifies requirements for companies in order to optimize processes, increase efficiency and improve customer satisfaction. The IATF 16949 is an international standard for quality management systems in the automotive industry. It is based on ISO 9001 and contains additional, complex requirements for the development, manufacture, assembly, maintenance, testing, storage, packaging, delivery and distribution of products. The norm also specifies requirements for customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
