Graepel-Eco

Characteristics

The surface features alternating rows of upward-facing and downward-facing perforations (d = 8 mm). The open cross-section of standard grating widths is approx. 6 %. The Graepel-Eco provides excellent slip resistance, debris displacement, and low drainage. The maximum embossed field is 460 mm wide. The width divider measures 50 mm, which allows metric surfaces to be completely covered with standard gratings, making this embossing method very economical. This eliminates the need for gratings that would have to be specially designed and manufactured.

Application

If installed lengthwise, the straight rows of holes in the Graepel-Eco grating make it easy to push wheelchairs, walkers, bicycles and strollers and pull suitcases and containers over it. This makes Graepel-Eco an excellent surface for escape and emergency routes, on wheelchair ramps, and lifting devices to facilitate access for handicapped persons. On request, gratings of the Graepel-Eco variant can also be delivered with a perforated nosing on one side only. We also offer straight stair treads with Graepel-Eco embossment, which have perforated nosing as a standard.
