Graepel-Lightprofile

Characteristics

The edged contour of the Graepel-Lightprofile has a C profile. Its surface is characterized by almost vertical bars with serrated edges which allow for an almost unrestricted view through the grating. Depending on the grating’s width, the open area is between 74 and 80 %, thus reaching the highest value of all Graepel perforations. The Graepel-Lightprofile offers an extreme drainage effect, excellent slip resistance and displacement as well as a high transverse rigidity. The maximum embossed field is 370 mm wide.

Application

Graepel-Lightprofile is essential in machine and plant manufacture, wherever precipitation or high accumulation of dirt pose a high risk on the safety when negotiating stair, platforms, and similar structures. Graepel-Lightprofile is used as running surfaces on crushing equipment and agricultural machinery, as accessible covers for bunkers and pits with light-binding bulk materials, such as grain or shot. The profile is also used as running platforms in areas with extreme precipitation, for example on ski lifts, and windy conditions, as can be found on crane jibs, etc. Platforms made of Graepel-Lightprofile for driver's cabs allow stable footing for maintenance purposes without obstructing the view through the platform to the working area.

Graepel-Lightprofile offers wider spans and additional slip resistance as an alternative to gratings with similar open surfaces.
