Graepel-Open

Characteristics

Graepel-Open is a C-shaped, canted metal profile grating. Its surface is dominated by large, downward-facing perforations (d = approx. 36 mm) that are surrounded by small, upward-facing embossed holes (d = 4 mm). The embossment is only slightly raisedThe open cross-section is approx. 50 %. Graepel-Open offers an extremely wide displacement space and excellent drainage, as well as a certain amount of slip resistance. The maximum embossed field is 810 mm.

Application

Graepel-Open perforation was designed for catwalks on containers and rail cars Due to the large open area, any type of precipitation is easily drained. The slip resistance of these steps ensures people can safely negotiate service and inspection platforms. Graepel-Open can be used as an alternative to open mesh flooring and provides additional slip resistance.
