Graepel-Star

Sheet metal profile grating

Characteristics

The Graepel-Star has a C profile. The surface is characterized by upward-facing, star-shaped perforations (d = 16 mm) and downward-facing embossments (d = 4 mm). The embossment is raised by approx. 6 mm. The open cross-section is approx. 21 % for standard grating widths. Graepel-Star offers excellent slip resistance, a wide displacement space, and a good amount of drainage. The maximum embossed field is 460 mm wide.

Application

This embossment was named for its appearance. Graepel gratings with Graepel-Star embossment are particularly well-suited for use in industrial areas where lubricants pose a risk of slipping: The serrated edges of the holes with upward-facing tips ensure high slip resistance. The drainage holes guide any accumulating liquid downwards into appropriate catchment tanks.
