Graepel, one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-quality sheet metal products, has received the Supplier Performance Award in the “Leader” categoryfrom DAF. The award was presented at a two-day ceremony by Jos Smetsers, DAF's Chief Procurement Officer.
DAF Trucks is one of the leading manufacturers of commercial vehicles in Europe and a wholly owned subsidiary of Paccar, one of the largest truck manufacturers in the world. Its Supplier Performance Management (SPM) program evaluates the company's largest suppliers according to strict criteria, including delivery performance, savings and customer focus. There are three levels of evaluation: Achiever, Leader and Master.
Graepel has now been recognized for its outstanding performance in DAF's SPM. In the past, the globally represented family business from Germany has received the award for Achiever twice and has now been promoted to the second-highest category with the Leader award.
“We are very proud of this award and the associated recognition of our achievements,” says Carlo Graepel, CEO at Graepel. “We have been supplying DAF with our components and assemblies for their commercial vehicles for decades. During this time, we have proven ourselves to be a reliable and innovative partner. The Supplier Award as Leader is proof of this and underlines our ongoing commitment to quality, innovation and reliability.”
Being named a Leader in DAF's SPM program is a significant recognition of Graepel's achievements and underlines the strong partnership between the two companies. With world-leading products and services and continuous improvements, Graepel is working to consolidate its position as DAF's leading supplier and reach the highest level.
