The development of Graepel – a summary of important milestones

Hugo Graepel (b. 1851 d. 1909) starts manufacturing perforated metal sheets in Budapest.

Claudius Graepel (b. 1854 d. 1925) sets up a factory for the production and processing of perforated metal sheets at Hanover. The first “Graepel sieve” is made.

Friedrich Graepel (b. 1891 - d. 1974) joins the company. He applies for the rights of 70 inventions and patents.

Friedrich Claudius Graepel (b. 1942 d. 2001) joins the Company in Löningen.

"Stalltechnik und Verzinkung Seehausen (Altmark)" (STUV) is renamed as "Stahltechnik und Verzinkung" and is taken over as a 100% owned daughter company of the Friedrich Graepel AG.

Graepel North America Inc. is founded in Omaha, Nebraska.

The company Oberflächentechnik Löningen GmbH & Co. KG is founded.

Friedrich Graepel AG is restructured as a holding company. Daughter companies having equal rights are: Graepel Loeningen GmbH & Co. KG, Graepel Seehausen GmbH & Co. KG, Graepel Oberflächentechnik GmbH & Co. KG, Graepel North America Inc.

Graepel celebrates its 125th anniversary with members of the Graepel family, employees, customers and guests from politics and industry.

Graepel Perforations India will be founded in Chandigarh. The production facility is currently under construction.
