Graepel receives Performance Award from Paccar / DAF

Something to be proud of: Paccar, one of the largest truck manufacturers in the USA, has presented the German sheet metal specialist Graepel with the “Supplier Performance Management Award” for outstanding supplier performance.

In June, the award was given to Graepel, the Löningen-based manufacturer of components made from cold-formed sheet metal. Paccar speaks of an unusual year in which Graepel came through for them, despite the difficult Corona situation. Therefore, we are looking forward to continuing the excellent cooperation.

For Graepel, the Americans’ SPM Award is a nice confirmation of the company’s own corporate maxim. This is defined by first-class service and reliability to the customer, as emphasized by the executive board members Felix and Carlo Graepel.

For DAF, Graepel manufactures various components and assemblies, some of which have been developed in-house, for light, medium and heavy trucks of the Dutch manufacturer, which has an EU production plant in Westerlo, Belgium, in addition to the company headquarters in Eindhoven.

Paccar’s “accolade” could open doors: The US-based group includes other large brands such as Kenworth and Peterbilt, which could be supplied with components.

Strategically speaking, Graepel is well-prepared to move in this direction: The company is already represented in the heart of the American and European vehicle industry with its own factories, and produces for other manufacturers as well. Above all, Graepel is technologically able to achieve substantial results. This was also confirmed after component tests by independent bodies such as the TU Dresden.

This course was set early on: Graepel has already been active on the market for commercial vehicles since its foundation over 130 years ago, and has weathered all economic crises, world wars and challenges with materials. It is now the only one of its kind to have manufacturing facilities on three continents. Practically the entire value-added chain is provided “in-house”, including sophisticated prototyping and the own tool shop. The bottom line is unparalleled expertise.

With this, we can offer customers a head start right from the very beginning. “We are looking forward to the future,” says Felix Graepel. Supporting him are 700 employees, whose jobs will be more secure thank to our ability to promise this performance.
